This class highlights the essentials of childbirth, newborn care and breastfeeding.

As an expectant parent you probably have a lot of questions but maybe not a lot of time. Whether you’re schedule is tight, your due date is fast approaching, or you prefer a one time visit, this prenatal class will prepare you for this exciting time in your life in an expedited way.

Expectant parents should plan to complete this class by the 36th week of pregnancy. 

Your tuition includes a pregnant person + 1 non pregnant support person. This prenatal class discusses, but does not include, hands-on practice for labor skills.  If you are looking for guided practice in this area, the Labor Skills Workshop will compliment what you've learned in this class and can be taken in addition.

You'll learn:

• The birth process, medical interventions and cesarean birth
• Discussion of coping strategies, pain medication and postpartum healing
• How to take care of your newborn- diapering, soothing, bathing
• How to get started with breastfeeding, the signs of success and when to reach out for help.
